Title: Request for paperweight ID help, very fine millefiori, partial paper label
Post by: raibos on July 08, 2016, 10:11:15 PM
I'm trying to find out who made this paperweight, dense packed millefiori, looks like wavy grass from the side, partial paper label.  Colors are a slate grey with some yellow.  It's about 3 1/2" diameter x 2 1/2" tall.  I'm guessing it's relatively modern.  Any help appreciated!

The label is for Pauly and Co.  There is further information on the board about Pauly and Co.  I think they sold glass from various makers iirc.
I can't help with the maker of your weight but I've seen them around before so perhaps someone will know for sure.

Hi.  I am fairly sure that the paperweight was made in Murano, probably mid-late 20th century.

Alan and m, thanks for the knowledge.  Never heard of Pauly & Co., I will read up.  Before I found this forum I must have looked at a thousand paperweights on eBay looking for a maker that ended in -ly, label mystery solved in short order here, great resource!
