Title: Large Heavy Signed Egg Shaped Sculpture on Base

This is a very heavy sculptural piece a little under 13" in height with scattered suspended bubbles between two layers of dark cobalt glass.  I only realized it was cobalt when I turned the piece on the side to try to discern signature which I have been very unsuccessful with.   Another piece from this collection was a wonderful Piva vase designed by Nigel Coates for Salviati.  I am assuming this too is Italian based on weight and style......any thoughts would be most appreciated!

To me it looks like the signature is made by two words. The first one could be "Sir" or "Fir" while the second one is "fegeri". If this is correct, these words are not Italian and not even similar to any of the  Murano glass maker families.

On your side how would you read the signature?

I read the same thing.  It is extremely frustrating because very similar sculptures were produced by Livio Seguso....a large number of items I am handling in this collection have stickers from Seguso & Co.  This signature looks scratched on.  I am wondering if someone thought they were enhancing the value by creating a signature of some sorts?
