I asked this in another thread, but I think it might have got a bit overlooked.
I have an optic rib vase which I originally thought was Whitefriars, but the base was wrong. Then I thought Holmegaard, but the rim was wrong. I came across an idenitcal vase in Judith Miller's "20th Century Glass" and there was an identically-shaped signed vase in a lighter blue by Elis Bergh for Kosta, c.1930.
My vase is unsigned, obviously (I thought that some of the wear on the base might have been a nearly obliterated signature, but the letters I thought I could make out were just deceptively placed scratches upon closer inspection).
Does anyone know if Kosta glass of that era sometimes went unsigned or even produced anything in this colour, or should I look elsewhere for an attribution?

I saw that thread and almost chimed in to say I think it is Zwiesel or WMF, not WF or Kosta or Holmie - it seems to be one of those designs that everybody made at one time or another. I have something very similar in clear with a script "L" underneath which I assume is Libbey.

Well, if Heisey did their Cecilia vases (6", 9" or 10.5") in their Steigel blue colour, that might have been a possibility. But, according to Heisey Glass- 1896-1957, they only did them in crystal (clear) and zircon (a sort of variable light turquoise). Tiffin's Swedish Optic in copen blue is also too light.
Oh well. Not much help then, sorry.
Edit: Sorry Ivo, we crossed there.

Ah, I hadn't considered Zweisel. The colour very closely matches a Heinrich Loffelhardt pitcher I have. I'll look into that and WMF and see if I can come up with any clues.
This vase is 8", so couldn't have been a Heisey anyway, Cathy. :)
Ah well, it might forever be a mystery... but it does make a useful pen pot for my desk.

Emmi pointed out in another thread that she'd spotted one of these with a Wuidart - Made In Sweden label...
So with a country pinned down, any potential makers springing to mind? :)
