Title: Etched 19th century Paperweight Dated 1898 - ID Request please

Hello Everyone

i have had this Paperweight for a while now and have tried researching myself with no luck

it is Etched and conveniently dated to the day, there is a monogram which could be the Maker?

any information about this weight would be greatly Appreciated

Hi.  All I can offer in the way of help is to say that the style of the engraved design is similar to some Belgian pieces I have / had. But I suspect that really means 'Northern European' rather than Belgian.

i Personally thought it had a hint of the Baccarat c19th Intaglio wares which were usually small pin trays of Boxes.

France and Belgium are close ;)

i will make sure to look deeper in to Belgium glass and let you know my findings if i am successful
