Title: Help Please to ID Large Red Multi Coloured Ball of Glass

Polished pontil to base with quite a lot of wear .

No opening in the top just a large concaved indent. There is a single blob of clear glass with a tail to the side.

Could it be Chinese.

Diameter 7"
Height 5.5"
Weight almost 3kg.

Post by: chopin-liszt on July 27, 2016, 09:49:33 AM: I'm not positive, while it might have some features in common with Chinese glass, it also has some features in common with Karl Weidmann at Gralglas. Perhaps a second or just not one of the best, but I do suspect Karl Weidmann a bit. He did make balls in this sort of decor. I've not seen a red backgound before.

I have a beautiful bubbled one given to me by my friend Dirk a couple of years ago. It took me a while to find the signature. :)
