Hi All. Recently found in Yorkshire can anyone id (maker & date) of this small 'organic' vase. When I saw my first thought was Murano but (as normal) no label so just guess work. It measures 13.5 cms tall x 6.5 cms wide (at the widest point) and just over 4 cms deep and weighs almost 400 gms. The base has no sign of a pontil and is well polished. I've posted 4 images here, and will do a second post with more images. Ant help much appreciated.

Hi. After some digging around I found some references to mid-century Murano being made from uranium glass. I know not conclusive in any way, but when I've shown a UV light on the vase I am getting the tell-tale green. Does this help anyone id?

Uranium really physicaly lights up, this seems to be the manganese or selenium reflection which is much less spectacular.

I think you are correct with Murano (I did consider Czech or even Japanese) but I've no idea who made it. The green glow is manganese decoloriser in the clear and indicates it's probably 50s/60s/70s rather than newer.
Some Murano glass uses uranium, but then so does glass from lots of other countries.
