A nice lead crystal ring. fire polished rim with an outer acid treated feel, rough pontil which i think might have some sort of stamp in the middle, any thoughts please?.
6 inches in height, 5 1/2 inches across the rim and 3 1/2 inches across the base.
Regards Chris.

???
There is decidedly something a bit Monarty about that.
I've had a small glass in pink and purple, with applied and acid treated foot, but I'm not sure if the foot was the same shape and the glass was only about 2.5" tall.
However, when these little glasses were made, they were to go with decanter sets, and not always catalogued.
This is all off the top of my head, and my Ysart knowledge is only of second-hand quality.

I've decided to keep this one, the colours are great, i had a good look at Monart before i posted it but could not find anything similar, i'll have another look.

It's a lot bigger than the little glasses I've seen.
The pontil mark wouldn't be right either.
I do find myself wondering, just a little, about some certain folk who have been known to do Monart-like work.
No names mentioned. None at all. I am very deliberately not mentioning any names, but labouring the point deliberately too. ;D
