Title: Three items that I just can't identify..
Post by: Glassbee on August 04, 2016, 01:40:21 PM
Hello, I have three items that I can't identify.

I am new to collecting glass and a bit stumped.

The red vase is very large and very heavy.
The gold ( ashtray?) has a gold made in Italy sticker.
The Purple Heart I thought might be murano.

Any help very much appreciated i need to work out if they need to be on high shelves (small children) or general display.  ::) :)

No, you're not being dim..........I've never sussed it myself, but the images have to be  certain size, etc., etc. There's a sticky with the subject of "How to resize images" at the top of the queries in the section 'Announcements, etc.' above the 'Glass' section then you clicked on first. Take a look, it may help.

Otherwise I'm sure one of the moderators will be happy to help you.

Oh, and welcome to the board :)

Cheers, Nigel

Hi Glassbee, welcome to the Board.

What problem are you having? If it is about how to add an image to your posts, then simply use the "Attach" function below the posting area.

If the problem is about loading an image with a Kb size that is permitted (under 125 Kb) then, as suggested, you need to resize (or optimize) the image.

There is a free utility on the web, that I recommend, as it does a very good job:
www.picresize.com - usually, with that routine, just setting the longest side of an image to 700 pixels will produce a good result.

Oh - and I forgot to add ..

Please post separate items in their own thread, as otherwise it gets very confusing when all the responses for each item are added.
