Dear All,
pretty standard vase but caught my eye. I haven't been able to identify it yet though my closest view to date is that the star is Imperial's star as in Star and File, however no "File" going on. :)
It's base points me towards a european variant with it's ground base.
I've searched ddoty, Edwards and Thistlewood however to no avail. Saying that after 200 pages it can feel a little "ground hog day " ! Though it does remind me why I do like this medium.
Can anybody help please?
Kind Regards
Andrew

We named this mystery piece "Mistic" some years ago, although we have not published anything on it yet. We believe it is European - it is reminiscent of Eda Glasbruk's Judith pattern (and yet it is not that). For now we're saying almost certainly European, but maker not yet confirmed (working on it). Hope this helps a little ...

Dear Glen,
thank you. Most appreciated. I saw it and knew it was different even if marigold. Saying that I found a vaseline fenton thistle in marigold last week which set my heart beating too. European carnival variants....don't we love them. :)
Your book is the most complete on European carnival and a real treat, thank you.
Your sincerely
Andrew

Thank you so much, Andrew, for your kind words. And yes ... "European Carnival variants" ... we do indeed love them (in fact I have a passion for them :-)
Congratulations on getting a vaseline Thistle - what an excellent find.
