Title: Green glass cocktail shaker identification help
Post by: Coupsdestylo on September 10, 2016, 03:43:57 PM
Hi all,
I have had this glass shaker a while, it probably my favourite shaker and it has proved rather tricky to identify.
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dominic

Turns out this cobbler is uranium glass,
Hand worked stopper and body moulded glass strainer.
I have since come across some more uranium glass swizzle or cocktail sticks, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
D

I would probably go down the 1930s Czech route for the shaker, but I don't know who, The sticks are nice too. I have these boys http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=737

Thanks, I am strongly thinking 30's too, is quite a tricky one as I can find no other examples in the shaker collecting community. heisey glass made the only other period all glass 3 piece shaker with a strainer but it's nothing like a traditional cobbler as this is.

I think your cocktail picks are great, if I find anything out about them I'll let you know, 2 most likely sources would be Lauscha region and Czech, I see a lot of glass cocktail sticks, swizzles, muddlers and glass markers and uranium ones are quite rare and is lovely to see yours, thank you.
