Title: Cross Paperweight ID?

Hi all,

I've had this paperweight for a number of years and recently found it again lying at the back of a drawer. It's not my cuppa but it would be nice to know who or where it was made, it has a signature on back but I can't make it out. Any help is greatly appreciated! Adam
