Title: Olive green sherry/port glasses with mark

Bought these lovely glasses today.
They just look nice, have a good weight and feel nice when held.
They vary in height which makes me think they are not machine made.
I'm not too sure about the mark though, its not something I've seen before.
Looks like UVE with PatentPend underneath?
Can anyone shed any light?

probably flying a kite but..................    according to Ivo's little book there was a Spanish outlet in Barcelona that went under the name of Union Vidriera de Espana SA  -  although Ivo comments that they appear to have ceased around 1945 - and Ivo doesn't indicate any particular mark used by this producer.              Do you think these glasses might have that sort of age?

You certainly are thinking outside the box there Paul!  ;D
In my opinion I don't think they're that old as there's no wear that you'd expect to see with something of that age.
That being said wear doesn't always indicate age so I've learned.
Its not a mark that I've seen before and its got me stumped  ???
