Title: Strathearn Tropic or Portuguese A N Other? ID = Portuguese

Could this be one of the Portuguese weights mentioned here on the message board or a Strathearn Tropic?

It is 11cm tall, cut and polished tip, moulded base.

The Strathearn Tropics are egg shaped and don't tend to have splodgy stuff at the bottom.
There's one in Lustrousstone's gallery.
I'm afraid I rather suspect not Strathearn John. :'(

Thanks Sue, pretty much decided same after I bought it a few weeks ago. I have not found any images of said fabled Portuguese weights, does anyone have any?

Excellent, thank you all, a perfect match. Should have done a bit more googling...

Just adding Portugal here as a key word.
