Hi all,
Is this a Dino Martens / Aureliano Toso vase ?
-
Good photos, but no size..........
-
Sorry I forgot to mention size it's 18 cm high, 7 cm diameter at its widest point and has 4 cm diameter rim
-
Thanks for confirming the size of your vase. I have seen these over the years and don't believe it to be quite of the quality of Dino Martens work - although I understand why you made the connection.
That said, unfortunately I don't know the originator.
I expect someone with information on this will come along, but give it a little time as folks often pop by only from time to time.
Good luck with the quest ;) :)

Thanks for the reply Nigel!
I made the connection with this photo attached and like you say the quality isn't quite there but the shape of the vase pictured made me think it could be and the shade of green too which I have seen on other Marten vases.
Kind Regards,
Adam

Your vase also looks to be mold blown with a cut and polished rim? It's difficult to tell from your photos.
The Aureliano vase you linked to has a firepolished rim and presumably a snapped of pontil mark on the base.

The rim on the vase in question is exactly the same as the martens vase I put a link to and it's not mould blown for sure - the flared neck isn't perfect . Unsure about pontil marks the few I have handled over years I can't recall there being a pontil mark and they were polished in one way or another
-
It is most probably mould blown (most "modern" vases are), though by hand. The neck will have been shaped after it was taken out of the mould
-
aah your base shot and rim shot are difficult to tell :)
But your baseshot looks as though it has no evidence of a pontil mark on it, it looks as though it has been removed from a mold but it is difficult to tell from your photo.
