Title: Iestyn Davies sculpture for show
Post by: Anne E.B. on October 02, 2016, 01:28:44 PM
For show, my newly acquired Iestyn Davies sculpture/figure.  Signed and dated '93.  It stand 9.5" high.

The only other similar piece I can find is shown on Fieldings Auctioneers, where two figures are shown with the title "Widget Test".
Its not the usual type of thing I collect, but couldn't resist it :)

(The first image might be a bit too compressed).

My first thought was that it could be a candle holder.   It would certainly hold one although it would be a little lopsided.
A pair would be fantastic either side of the fireplace :) The colour is lovely and there is a sprinkling of blue powder a bit like scavo ( ??? I think) technique.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled when I go back to see if another one appears.  8)
