Title: Paperweight John Gentile G with shield
Post by: patack on October 09, 2016, 07:25:20 AM
Hi,
I recently purchased four paperweights from an estate auction, this is the only one I "think" I know something about.

Green and Yellow
Mark:  John Gentile G with shield
Measures approx. 3.25"w x 2.5" h
Weight: 1.5 lbs
Looking for date?
Value?

Not sure how to describe this, but really lovely piece.
Thanks.

It is supposed to be the family crest with a G in the center.  That signature was used only in1975.  You should get a copy of Andrew Dohan's The Dictionary of Paperweight Signature Canes

Thank you so much.
Is there a particular description for this type of paperweight?
