Title: New Royal Brierley studio, thanks John !
Post by: keith on October 09, 2016, 05:25:01 PM
Take me ages to find it due to it being only 2.25 inches tall, John ( glassobsessed ) pointed me in it's direction, ta very much ! thought the lid was a 'marriage' despite a good fit but getting the lens out later I had a surprise as you can see !  :o ;D ;D

Sorry, didn't I mention that?  ;D

Did not spot the mark on the lid, nice touch.

Bought eight chairs today, happily it turns out I can get that many in the back of my car, reckon there might be room for a couple more at a push. :D

It was a nice find and despite a really good fit for the lid I also thought it was a marriage. Just goes to show.

Lovely find.  And that is pretty much spot on for Loetz Papillon as well isn't it.
In close up pic it looks identical to my green bowl.

It is marked to the base, one question why is the term 'marriage' (  two things that shouldn't be together ) it always sounds a bit odd to me, being an old married man ???  ;D ;D

... why is the term 'marriage' ...
As well as meaning, "union between two people", it also means "a combination of elements".

As an old married man, you should realize that often couples are very different from each other, but then join to make a new object :D

Carolyn's nailed it.
Two completely different elements, shoehorned into relatedness by law.  ;D

This is gorgeous, Keith, I'd really very happily give that house room.
I think it's the best bit of RB I've seen.
And it's got bits of metal stuck on it, normally a no-no for me. ;D

;) How much do you want to part with it?

Might be a bit steep.  :P
I'm really pleased you have something so unusal and lovely Keith. You really do deserve it given all the work you do in this area.
