Title: Whitefriars Day...what a day. Experimental Colourway.
Post by: Gowdod on October 09, 2016, 06:51:12 PM
Dear All,

the fun continues. Today's foray.

Well the real fun is in the piece at the front.

The 9098, 9650 and 9559 I knew however our little 6", experimental colourway is familiar in shape at least, either Wilson, Hogan or GB?

It has five lobes to the base, typical Hogan base, lobed ground pontil, however colour?

Any views please?

Kind regards

Ansrew

Looks like a Dunne Cooke piece.

Dear Marc,

I see what you mean. I wish it were.  :)

I did find this though, thanks to your pointer, which indicates it maybe a little later and by Baxter, pattern 9774 1971 Supplementary Catalogue. I've not seen a copy however is from a good source.

Of course it is. Doh. I'm hanging my head in shame :( I should have remembered, I've even done research on the work books.

Here is a link with some info.
