Title: Daum Nancy Vase
Post by: rachnathanking on October 09, 2016, 07:57:18 PM
Good evening!

I picked up a Daum Nancy Vase from a Bootsale this morning.

I've heard of the name and thought it was a very nice eyecatching vase.

I don't know all that much about it apart from it could be worth quite a few pennies. Could you please clarify if it is real and not fake?

It measures approx 8.5" high and 2.5" wide at the base. Weighs 393g.

Thanks! Rach

Hello,

Your vase is not made by Daum. This scene with the swans on a lake, can be found on glass made by Legras. Even the tree is in the same position.

There's a lot of paint work on your vase,  but it's definitely not acid cut, what it's trying to be.
