Title: Scottish? Paperweight Identification
Post by: ck2407 on October 10, 2016, 09:18:13 AM
Please could another member help me identify this beautiful, large (approx 3" diameter) with a high, clear dome paperweight?  I would like to find out the Maker, Age and approximate current value.  The Canes are set in a deep purple base and it has 12 spokes.  I have attached an additional photo to show central cane in more detail.

Many thanks

A photo of the base may help.

However, this is likely to be one of the daily production weights by Strathearn Glass. These were made between 1964 and 1980. For current orices, scanning ebay is probably the easiest way to get an idea - there are usually many of these type of weights available.

Thank you so much for identifying Maker KevinH.  (The Paperweight has a circular indentation to base)
