Love this vase I've just acquired ;D 8). It reminds me of some Flavio Poli pieces, except that the heavy clear base is more angular and not rounded.
I did think it might possibly be Scandinavian and a Nils Landberg piece, but haven't found a match. It screams 1950's IMHO.
Very heavy at 1.8kg, 14" high with a smooth pontil mark. Rounded rim. Not uranium glass.
It needs a good clean - when I find my magic balls.
Any ideas would be much appreciated. :)

Just a little bump ;D
I've searched and searched but still haven't found anything quite like it :'(. My gut feeling is it is more likely to be Scandinavian rather than Italian. Strombergshyttan comes to mind, but again no match, and I've searched Czech glass fairly extensively just in case, with the same result.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I know it could take a long time to I.D. but just wonder if anyone has come across a similar one since I last posted, or a 'fresh' pair of eyes might be able to give any ideas.
I'm still looking, but without success, but then my eyes are becoming less fresh day by day 8)
;)
