Title: ID: Blue Deco Pressed Glass Pedestal Bowl
Post by: chasdevlin on October 27, 2016, 06:25:10 PM
Hi

I picked up this attractive piece quite recently but am struggling to find much that resembles it, particularly in that colour. It's quite art deco with its combination of cut, angular shapes with circular designs, but it could be late Victorian I guess.
It's 15.5 cm or over 6 inches high.
I've trawled through the marvellous pressed glass site, but to no avail. I'd love to hear any ideas -thanks!

Screams late Victorian to me. No idea who though.

Yes -the frilled rim is more Victorian. I really like the colour, which I'm hoping might be the best clue to its origin. Cheers!

I thought this was American and not Victorian ???

Must be the same maker.

Pressed glass is hardly ever worn on the base, no wear at all on mine and its heavy.

6 3/4 inches in height which would allow for the flared rim.
