Hi all.
I'm hoping for some advice as to the date of this paperweight I picked up at the weekend. There is lots of silver chloride and the casing is very green. Would this be an indication of it being early?
Many thanks
Marc.

Hello Marc, looks very Mdina-ish to me, see what the others have to day ;D ;D

I have at least a couple of these and one has an early diamond point mark, so yes fairly early

Thank you Christine, you've confirmed my thoughts :).
Hi Keith. Looking forward to seeing your RB at the National :).

Great, do say hello ;D ;D

The colours seem to be Tortoiseshell, that was used through most if not all of the seventies. There are many more blue examples than Tortoiseshell kicking about, perhaps torty weights were not made for so long, I would tend to agree re the green tinged glass.

I think they are nicer than blue ones: the effects are less predictable
