Title: Can this be a Stuart Peacock Trail bowl?

I am not able to find a maker that satisfies me.  It has been suggested that it might be Stuart.  Opinions valued.

Is it a salt or bigger?, ive seen salts in small twin metal baskets and metal frames, most the frames seem to have gone. Framed ones have a more round base like yours and no feet, or they could have just be a marriage but there are a lot of them about over here.

Here is  a piece the same colour as yours and some salts with feet and a couple with rounded bases.

There is normally a spoon hanging from the centre stand hoop.

i would also say English.

Looks like a preserve to me. I have at least a dozen different ones. Sometimes they come in twin frames too. Does it glow green under UV

I believe this is Stuart.
I have one in the same shape with the peacock eyes but mine is threaded rather than ribbed.
I have also seen a huge bowl version with a waved rim  in the colour of yours with the peacock eyes all around it.
I can't prove it as I don't think it's in the patterns I have but I'm 99.99% sure it's Stuart.
Is that pontil mark polished?

Interesting point.  Can we exclude Stuart for the threaded versions?  Are there Richardson patterns somewhere with the peacock eye (caveat - I've not looked at CH British Glass so sorry if it's an obvious question)?  and did Stuart not do threading?  Is it known that Richardson did the orangey glass?

Mine is like yours but with fully green eyes like my large Stuart vase.  I can't do pics at the mo but hopefully my own laptop will be back this week and I can do a comparison.

Yes Stuart did use threading, but  HG Richardson used threading (not applicable to Ross's bowl), peacock eyes, this shape and what looks like this rigaree on a preserve dish according to Gulliver p 204. My money would be on Richardson

The item is about 5'' across at the rim, 3" for the bowl itself and a little under 3" in height.  The pontil mark  is polished.  There is no real wear on the base so the idea that it comes from a metal stand seems likely.  Can't find my UV light just now.

Christine, thanks,and I think we've discussed mine with the peacock eyes before and Richardson was a probable perhaps at that time?
Interesting because there is nothing about the eyes on mine that would make me think it wasn't Stuart.
