I've not seen this in black before, has anyone else?

never - there was a time when Davidson knocked out acres of black pieces, so presumably black was a late deco fashion some time in the 1930's or 40s. This pattern looks to come in a variety of shapes, mostly probably bowls, and the defining feature seems to be the four opposing slightly flared thickened panels that project a little above - or hang over - the rim. Mostly seen in pinky or pale amber and smoky sorts of colours, but would imagine black is rare.
Presumably this seller isn't a GMB member.

Not a member, as far as I'm aware, Paul. I had this bowl in clear and amber, and have seen it in pink and green I think, but the black was a complete shock. I did wonder if it had been sprayed, like the candlesticks that someone asked about a few years ago.
