Title: Is this a Leerdam vase?
Post by: abamji on December 04, 2016, 04:14:02 PM
Recently purchased a pair of cut crystal vases at auction, listed as possibly by Leerdam.  The etched mark on the base is shown in the attached photograph but I cannot find it in the Leerdam list.  Can anyone help with ID?

Hello and welcome to the board. Could you please add a picture of the whole item (side view) against a plain dark background so we can see what it is, as if we can't run the mark to earth the shape and design might help us pin it down. Also add dimensions and a view of the whole base so we can see how it is made/finished. Thanks!

I can see why an auction house would think of Leerdam.
If you google Copier Leerdam and go to the etched stamp on his glass you can see where the thought came from...except it is not.
Andries Copier was Leerdam's director and top designer. You could google his name as well for more information.
