Title: Repaired mould blown wine glass thought's.
Post by: brucebanner on December 12, 2016, 09:26:48 PM
Any thoughts on this one would be welcome, it's mould blown, sounds like lead crystal and some one loved it enough to repair it when it broke.

6 3/4 inches ine height.3 3/4 inches across the rim and 3 1/2 inches across the base.

the top and bottom rim have been polished flat.

Very nice!

Rene Lalique, Vrilles de Vigne  8). Not sure about the band on the stem -- it's probably a repair as you say (other examples I've seen seem to have an applied glass ring in a contrasting colour reather than a metal band).
