ID Help sought. I have two paperweights by the same artist - one shown here - with an irregular polished black exterior and what looks like an underwater scene inside. There is one large window cut into the paperweight to see the inside scene with snails?, anemones, and other items. It has a flat black oval shaped base and is unsigned. There is a red and black striped "tail" on the backside. The design is quite dark inside and it was hard to get a good picture. It is about 3 3/8" wide by 2 1/4" deep by 2 3/4" high.
I've given links to larger pictures to go with the GMB images below:

Backside - note tail (http://paperweights.com/paperweights/images3/pw3956back.jpg)

Any leads to the ID will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Allan

The canes that look like a checker-board pattern are probably Murano - but the weight could have been by made by various artists, probably from the US.

Received confirmation that my paperweight and its twin (not shown) were made by Josh Simpson. Both are unfinished and probably seconds. They should not have left his studio and I am returning them to him.
