I bought this a few weeks ago. I wasn't quite sure what I was buying to be honest...lol There's no markings and no pontil mark to the base. The uniformity of the base makes me think it was poured into a mould and pulled up to make the supports for the sculpture.
The bird hasn't been applied terribly well to the base IMO, but the bird itself is well made and very pretty. I presume this is the kind of thing one would pick up in tourist-type shops on Murano? Any ideas? Thank you.
Edit: Measures 9" from beak to tail.

Yes to Murano, and I want it!!! :D
Well, I thought the bird was Barbini, since i have one in copper aventurine, but this one is in Opal pink? hmm... Barbini did make opalescent pieces too, so I cant see why it couldnt be by him.
