Title: Scottish paperweight - which era please? #8 & #9 - Strathearn or earlier
Post by: josordoni on January 27, 2017, 04:54:58 PM
I have recently bought a batch of paperweights which I am certain are all Scottish, from the Ysart/Strathearn stable. I would very much appreciate your help in correctly identifying the era that these were made in.

These last four are small buttons, most likely Strathearn but quite bubbly, could they be earlier?

Hi Lynn

Two in this post not four as you say, also they should really be listed individually to avoid confusion.

From the bases it looks as if they are fire polished withe bubbling but the canes are proud of the ground so I would say LATE Vasart  when they started experimented with fire polishing

Best regards

Derek

sorry, I meant the last four as in 6 7 8 and 9 which were quite similar to me. And I was afraid of using up so many individual posts I panicked and combined these at the end. Thanks for your help
