all four from June 1878 - the first two are the 8th and the other pair from 9th ................... apologies the pix are ropey..... there was a leather and wool glove laying over part of these images which accounts for the glove outline which has also discoloured the drawings - could have been worse, it might have been a large layer of fabric or wallpaper.
I don't recall seeing these - they might be items of some rarity or just that I don't frequent the right places - alternatively, tumblers probably have a hard life and are items that are abused and therefore don't have a very good survival rate. In view of the date of Registration, these would have carried just simply a Registration No. and not a lozenge, so in theory they should be recognizable if found - perhaps someone here has one or more in the flesh to show.

I've never seen actual examples from these RDs either.
