Title: Hermanova set 19118, 19119, 19120, and 19121
Post by: theElench on February 03, 2017, 12:10:30 PM
Is it possible that this set had a comb tray?

I have what I bought as a Breakfast Set but the pieces don't sit properly on the tray, they wobble about badly, and seem too cramped to be much use as they are.

The tray measures 28.5cms x 10cms x 2.5cms.

It's possibly a cucumber dish. There's a humungous number of variants on this pattern

The tray size appears to be a match for the breakfast set in the catalogue and 28cms seems a bit big for a comb tray  :)

Isn't there just!  I've always liked it and have been adding pieces to my collection for years.  This breakfast set turned up only a couple of miles down the road from where I live.

How do you find there catalogues please?  I've tried searching on-line and found very little, also tried the Kent Libraries Archive with no success.  I even sent a couple of emails to long established local stores but they didn't even reply.

Some of the mysteries in my collection I've identified from ebay, google or dealers websites.  I've asked for I.D help on GMB for several pieces but most didn't get any replies, not even a guess that might lead to new avenues to explore.  I apreciate that identifying glass can be like looking for a needle in a hay-stack but would like to at least try digging a bit deeper.  But where to start?

A lovely Creamer Set, the first one I've seen all together in this pattern, not sure why the title says 19112 which is a candlestick. ??? Mod: Pattern no. corrected in topic

Unusual as most creamer sets are 3 parts, tray, jug and sugar bowl, this one has an additional container maybe for jams/preserves.
