Title: Glass electric lamp
Post by: dshell74 on July 24, 2006, 11:40:54 PM
Hello. My grandma passed away in April and left my mom and I with hundreds and hundreds of pieces of crystal and depression glass. We can't seem to identify this lamp or the pattern. We also have several bowls with this similar pattern. Any ideas? Thanks!!

This would be a tough one to identify. I think its what is called pressed cut. The main parts and the leaf design are pressed and then the flowers are wheel cut. It was a cheaper method than full cutting. I will take a stab and date it to the 1920s although maybe someone else may have more info. Terry

Metalwork looks more like 1950's. Glass was probably outsourced by a lamp manufacturer.

Thank you! I spent a while cleaning it and it is absolutely beautiful in my living room.
