Tornado vase Riihimaen Lasi Oy???
Hello out there, I was told this was Dartington, but looks more like a Tornado vase, any ideas

ooops, forgot measures, about 18cm(7 inch) tall, 10cm rim diameter, many thanks for ideas
-
My bet is Dartington. Riihimaki's Tornade vase has more hoops.
-
I would have thought Dartington too, but can't see it in either of the books, unfortunately.
-
Not Dartington, I have been wondering about this design for years but not a clue who, fairly sure coloured variations crop up too.

Hello, It is a nice heavy piece and clear, with flat polished rim, it fells quality too. Simon

I would say it is very much like Bjorn Ramel for Sea Glasbruk.
This is incredibly similar http://www.retroforum.se/index.php/topic,2.0.html

Thanks Della, good call I agree, very similar
-
Seems they came in three sizes (my Swedish is Google translate only...), the two smaller sizes here also: http://precisensan.com/antikforum/showthread.php?35887-Ljuslykta-SEA-Bj%F6rn-Ramel
I have seen them in red and blue before and also mottled colours like this one, which rather handily has a label: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/sea-of-sweden-handmade-bjorn-ramel-blown-art-glass
So Sweden and Sea Glasbruk appears to be spot on. 8)
