Title: Uranium glass hooped vase thoughts.
Post by: brucebanner on February 25, 2017, 05:38:59 PM
Sat in a local antique shop that's closing so half price, described as Riihimaki.

A strange green cream colour so i thought id try the UV torch and it lit up bright green.

A lot of base wear for such a light piece of glass.

7 inches in height, 4 inches across the rim.

Reminds me of stuff that Boom and Doyen produced at least in terms of shape.  Boom did a pale blue but do not know if they did this green.
Possible East Germany maker - but can't remember the name Ivo gave me.

not a clue, but.............    hoops like these always make me think of art deco...........  if it turned out to be from the 1930 - 40 period then that might account for the degree of wear, plus would be suitable age for uranium.
