Title: Is this a Stevens and Williams Grotesque green ribbed vase?.
Post by: brucebanner on February 28, 2017, 05:41:08 PM
I'm wondering if this is a described above or something else, i have had a look on here and most the links go to photobucket and are empty or no longer go anywhere, several online mostly sold by Fieldings, an image of one in Victorian decorative glass page 218 and some in this link but they all appear to be the same shape.

3 1/2 inches in height, 4 1/2 inches across the rim,  there is a small polished pontil mark in the middle of the convex base  approx 20mm in diameter.

Any thought's welcome, regards Chris.

The base looks a bit different to the one in the book, been looking for one of these, does yours have ribs ?

Yes Keith and that tinny lead crystal ring and I'm sure it's about the right age and really well made. I will try and get a better picture of the base later .

I found it in a charity shop in Stourbridge a couple of days ago.
