Hi, I picked up a set of glass tumblers. I thought they were by Oiva Toikka - part of his Kastehelmi range - but I can't find examples of this particular shape online. I know there were copies made by other manufacturers. Can anyone shed any light on whether they are genuine or not. Thanks

agree - this shape doesn't come in a search - all the other tumblers have straight sides. Apparently the word means 'dewdrop' - which I didn't know.
Assume you mean copies have been made by other factories of shapes other than this one. You might ask the factory perhaps.
If these were sold to you as Kastehelmi you might ask the seller for the source of their attribution.

Iittala still make items with this pattern: https://www.iittala.com/gb/en/dining/glasses/kastehelmi-tumbler-30-cl-clear-2-pcs/p/k365424

thanks John - then I'd imagine an email to the factory might get the answer.

This is a pattern that was made under license from Iittala by Cascade of England, I don't know if they made tumblers though. They made pin dishes and candleholders, I've seen them in clear and in blue, and amber Gulvases.
