Hi, I have this amazing slab architectural glass with a moulded owl. It is signed - Cristal Querandi Serie 1773/28/83". (I think)
Having done a little research I can see that Cristal Querandi was made in Beunos Aires, Argentina, but can't get much further. Does anyone know of a good source of information? It is about 14.5 cm (5 3/4 in) high, 13 cm (5 in) wide and 4 cm (1 1/2 in) deep at widest points. it weighs 1065 gm (2 lb 6 oz). I wondered if it was rare or are there loads kicking about? Thanks sally

Hello and welcome to GMB!
I'd suggest you contact Ms Ullmann at
http://www.optul.de/en-home-milestone.php
I had the pleasure to make the acquaintance about two years ago here in Germany (near Passau), she is the daughter of 'Cristalería Querandí' née in Buenos Aires
Good luck with your research!

I have received really interesting information on the Cristal Querandi Argentian glass factory from Norbert Ullmann, Chairman,
Ullmannglass Norbert Ullmann e.K., www.ullmannglass.de, whose father was the CEO of Cristaleria Querandí, from 1954 till 1976. It is absolutely fascinating. I wondered where I could post it - as long as I get permission from Mr Ullman - to help others looking for more information on Cristal Querandi? Sally
