I bought these 3 pieces from a lady at a car boot. She told me that she bought them in Malta at Mdina Glass about 14 years ago. I did wonder if they may have come from another factory on Malta, I did ask but she said Mdina.
2 of the items seems to have a lot of gold foil.
Height of the 2 smaller pieces 2.5" and 2.75", the larger piece 4.7"
None of the pieces are signed.
Confirmation please.

I wonder if the gold foil ones are from the Phoenician studio... I had a few of their ducks with gold foil in them. Just a thought. I'm even thinking Gozo glass as I have had some pieces with gold on.
Not sure of the other one, but it looks very interesting. :) Mtarfa possibly?

You may be right, the way the lady spoke made it seem like they all came from the same factory, although after 14 or 15 years its not always easy to remember.

I have been struggling to remember which factory for the blue two with gold leaf and I think Rosie may be right with Phoenician. Don't remember seeing anything quite like the third vase though and would hazard a guess at Gozo, simply because it is opaque and surface decorated.

I think the only thing for certain are that they all came from Malta about 15 years ago, possibly not all from the same factory.

None of them look particularly Mdina-ish to me, thought they might be from a late period, beyond where my interest lies.
They did do some foiled stuff, but I've only seen gold foil, not both silver and gold.
These are more interesting looking than the Mdina foiled stuff, I'd go with Phoenician too.
I think that Phoenician glass is very competent and that it diversified from Mdina in more interesting ways than the other Maltese makers.

Just wondering if Valletta glass is a possibility??
