Hi I found this beautiful bowl in a box I bought at auction. I've meant to be selling it but am becoming attached to it. It's lovely very tactile and makes an amazing sound when you ping it. It's stands just over 3 inches diameter just over 7 and has 16 ridges. I thought some of you would like to see it. I'll attempt to attach pictures.....

:)
Hello and welcome. Thank-you so much for taking the time and efffort to show us this treasure you've found. ;D
I'm sure there will be others delighted to see it too, and they should be able to tell you a bit more about it than I can.

I will be interested to see the signature as there is a well known John Walsh who made lots of small items in Australia.

it has some similarities with Walsh 'Vesta Venetian' - is that what this might be?? - regret I also know little about Walsh from that period.
May we ask the op which of the Walsh inventions they thought this was?

Thanks everyone. I'll endeavour to attach some more photos later.

Definitely John Walsh Walsh from the 1920s. The colour is Sunbeam. It's uranium glass

Yours is beautiful! Such lovely glass to handle. I'll be on the lookout for more. I bought the original lot as it had a nice wee monart dish in it so this is a bonus. Here's a few more pictures.

Ah! Walsh Walsh glass is very rare here in Australia - I have only ever seen one piece. My john Walsh made studio glass.
