Here I am again.
I bought this black crystal (or glass) box, and I was wondering if it could be Val St. Lambert.
There are no makers marks on the bottom :-\
Thank you very much for your help.

I like it - a very attractive smoky colour. Assume the pattern/design is cut? - is the floral image within the glass handle, or cut or moulded into one side of the handle only.
Your pix could do with being bigger - we do have instructions here somewhere which will help you to resize. Will you please provide height of this bowl/box, it may well help with id ............. to my eyes it reminds me of a piece that might have formed part of a trinket/dressing table set - perhaps for powder or cream. I'm not suggesting remotely this is from Hoffmann (Germany), but just wanted to say that similar small moulded images like your floral scene were a big thing from that particular factory - over the years I've seen many of their small pin trays showing dogs, flowers etc. ............. but just to say again - I don't think this is Hoffmann. ;D
We have a knowledgeable lady on this Board who knows much about VSL - so where are you Annetique. :-*

Thank you very much, Paul!
Yes, I would love to be able to upload larger pictures...
The rose on the handle is cut or moulded into one side of the handle only, as you say. It is carved (with an opaque surface) on the reverse.
The box is ca. 4.2 (10 cm) tall, handle included. Diameter at largest is ca. 4.4 inches (11,5 cm).

Hi Silvia. it may or may not be of some help regarding the photo size issue, but just to say that for some years I've used the Picasa system for editing for colour/contrast improvement, and then re-sized using IrfanView which is a free download programme.
Assuming you have your own picture album on your pc. then using these methods you can edit and then bring the size of the first dimension down to 700 pixels - type your reply in the usual way and then use the 'browse' button in the 'attach' box showing below to retrieve pix from your own library. You can add up to four pix at any one time.
May I criticize - but very politely, please :) I know that on some forums, successive replies within a given thread, commence by quoting in full the immediately previous respondents words ............. I think this is a very common form of reply in the States for example, but I'm not so sure it has a valid reasoning - hopefully, we can all read the preceding comments or two, and to repeat exactly does seem to consume space etc., unnecessarily.
If you wish to continue in this way, far be it for me to say you shouldn't - it's just that this might not be needed. Hope you understand, and thanks for the explanation of the decoration on your glass. :)

Thank you very much for your time and for all the useful suggestion, Paul.
You are right about the quoting, I am used to write in forums where the discussion gets complex after a while, and it is necessary to quote the part one is referring to. It is not the case here, you are right. :)

thanks Kevin. Regret I'm not too good at these techie matters, but if you get really stuck Silvia, then send your pix to me and I will up load for you - hope of course that you manage to process yourself.

Just a quick bit of info for Paul - you can resize using Picasa too - select the photo(s) to resize and from File choose 'Export Picture to Folder', I then select 700 pixels and it works a treat especially with multiple images.

thanks John - must admit I'd either forgotten that or more likely didn't know in the first place - will give it a go when next I'm tinkering with my pictures.

Pieces from the VSL Luxval series are usually marked, with a few exceptions, but I don't think I've ever seen this design in the catalogues before.
