Post by: Malwine on July 10, 2017, 01:58:54 PM
Can somebody help with identifying these carved glass vases?
Thanks a lot, Malwine

Hi, the surface treatment and colour reminds me of some vases I saw recently online somewhere, that were vintage pieces attributed to Peill, although most Peill vases I have seen are clear glass, these were not, so I thought must have been a special range of some kind. This is not a detailed comment, not a definite attribution, but I hope it may be helpful on your journey in trying to identify these nice pieces,

Thank you Robert. The pre-owner told me they would be from Finland, but I have seen nothing comparable.

With the crude base treatment Finland is unlikely - China is much more the go.  I call this type of glass floristry ware.
