Hi everyone.
I just purchased a vase which was described as Orrefors.
It is signed/etched on bottom:orrefors D 4488-77. The 7's could be 4's or possibly 9's.
The seller says it's Ingeborg Lundin. Could this possibly be correct?
I'm new and am using an IPhone. I can't submit a photo from my phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
The vase is 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches diameter, wheighing 8 lbs.
It's a swirled thick glass. Very beautiful whoever made it.
Thank you,
Sara

Hi Sara, welcome to the Board.
I have removed the duplicate post you had inadvertently added.
Well done for getting as far as you have using just an IPhone. Although I am a site moderator, I have absolutely no idea about adding photos to the Board from a smart phone of any kind. Our main moderator, Anne, may be able to assist, or perhaps other members who understand how to do it can help.

Thank you Kevin. I'm not sure how I entered duplicate posts. I tried to cancel one last night. Thank you for taking care of that for me. I'm looking into turning my pics into jpegs.
Have a great day or evening as you're in The UK.
Sincerely,
Sara

Here is the signature. Any help with identification would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Here's the vase I'm inquiring about.
Pardon my drip drip of information. I'm new and am only using a smart phone.
Any help in identifying this vase would be appreciated.

I suspect the initials between Orrefors and the number code are JJ, at least that seems the most likely of the possibilities. If so, the vase will have been made in 1970 or later and JJ is the code for designer Jan Johansson.

Thank you John. I think you're right. Although I can't find this vase or style attributed to hm I have found other pieces that are signed by him and the signature is quite close. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. This is a housewarming gift for my niece.
Thank you again,
Sara

I don't think these marks are signatures, more product codes, so the similarity of the writing is irrelevant because they weren't done by the designer

Christine, thank you.
I have since found a pattern attributed to Edvin Ohrstrom called Waterfall. The vases that I have found in this pattern are all 7 1/4 inch H. Mine is 9 1/2 inch H. I think I'm more confused now.
Thank you again for the help.
-
It is pretty much standard practice to have a design made in two or even three sizes so I would not be concerned by the difference if the rest of the pattern matches.

Thank you glassobsessed.
Yes everything appears to be the Waterfall pattern by Edvin Ohrstrom. There are several online for sale all 7 1/4" H. I think it's just a larger one of the pattern.
Thanks again for your input!
Sara
Have a great day!
