Post by: seanduxbury on August 28, 2017, 07:41:37 AM
Hi All.  Hope someone can help.  Despite trawling the web and going through my reference book I've not come up with anything for this green 'bubble/hooped' vase.  Found in Lancashire my first thoughts where Scandinavian in particular Finland but I'm not convinced.  It measures 16 cm tall x 10 cm in diameter at the widest part and weighs about 375 gms.  Any help much appreciated.

Riihimaki glass would be my best guess.

That was my first thought, but no marks of any kind and I've not been able to find anything similar they made.

There's one being sold here which is identified as Riihimaki. Looks to be the same shape, but this is in blue. You could contact the seller to find out more about their attribution. It's about halfway down the page.

I think the Riihimaki attribution for these is an internet myth.
