Title: Studio bulb vase, nice colours, British? ID = Mtarfa
Post by: chilternhills on September 05, 2017, 11:53:48 AM
I bought this vase recently not knowing what it is but just because I liked it. It is 15 cm high, 9 cm diameter at the rim and 9 cm diameter bulb. There is a broken pontil on the base, but no other marks. I am thinking British only because I bought it locally.

Any ideas who made it? Thanks.

Anton

You are welcome Anton, it seems Mtarfa often used bold or somewhat unconventional colour combinations.

 :)
It's not a bulb vase. There isn't a proper space for the roots to sit, or to form properly, even if propped on top.
I've just been reading PC's book about how to set a blub up on a bulb vase. If the roots don't all fit into the top space properly, they'll lever it off when they grow out into any spaces. :)
