Totally chuffed.
Antiques Roadshow BBC One at 8.00 pm on Sunday 24th September. I made the first episode of the 40th series with my glass cocktail sticks and umbrellas! :-)
-
I'll be setting the box to record. Thanks for the heads-up. ;D
I'm as curious to see you as your sticks and brollies. ;)
-
How exciting! :) I've added this to the calendar to remind people!
-
Looks to the top of the screen and sees calendar for the first time...

:-[
me too. I've been here just a little longer than you have, though.
My excuse is I get too interested in the pretty pictures. ;)
-
haha 10 thousand plus posts, that's very impressive, or more to the point the pretty pictures are very distracting ;-)
I also took a few choice glass bar related items, Annie's Mampe elephant will got an outing too :-)
-
When I went to the AR, Andy asked me for what glass i'd brought, but I hadn't taken any because I already knew about it. I did take along several sets of vintage foiled beads, but nobody knows anything about them.
I took some ancient family whaling stuff along, and I didn't get featured.
They can't have thought my dried whale's eyeball was interesting enough. ;D

The calendar forthcoming events are also shown at the foot of the main index page for the board, in the Info Centre. :)
-
well that didn't go too badly :)
-
Quite a collection you have there ;D ;D
-
Thanks Keith, I took about a third of my stick collection :-)
-
I thought the collection was charming.
I love lampwork, and the smaller and more intricate the better!
Andy was so enthusiastic, and quite obviously thrilled to be able to see them and 'twizzle' the Merry go Round. :)
Rosie. :)

For anyone who missed the program, and can view BBC iPlayer, it is still available for 27 days.
-
I watched the episode on YouTube... Loved the enthusiasm!

Ooh! I did not know about the YouTube copies. Why don't the BBC tell us these things. Or do they ... but I am just not up with the times and technology. ;D
