Hi,
I bought this figure at a wet car boot today, paid £20.
It's opaque green (like Jade) to white and has engraved mark to base as seen in photo.
The height is 26 cms.
Please can anyone shed any light on this - the pictures do not do it justice. It is very well made and a heavy item.
Many thanks
J :)

No idea about the engraved mark but the figure was made by Archimede Seguso and the Italians call this alabastro glass, probably dates to the 50s.
Very nice and a real bargain!
From memory, I believe these oriental figures were made in three sizes.

Hi John,
Thank you for the information. Do you think the mark on the bottom could have been added later?
Many thanks

Possibly, could also be a retailer's mark I guess. There is a company on Murano called Gambaro and Poggi (founded in 1974 apparently), the engraved marks looks like it could read G&P but there may be no connection.
