Hello all - I recently picked up this vase - it's about 7" tall. The mouth is about 4" across. It weighs 34 ounces. Iridescent - also has some purple/bluish filamenty structure in it that you can see in direct light, but not like in diffuse room light(see pics). Thanks again for any input on the maker or possible origin of this.

Bump to see if anyone has any ideas on this one :) Thanks!

I'm really sorry you've had no response so far. It's a difficult one though!
I had suspected perhaps WMF, but the white liner put me off, I'd imagine it might be more recent than that, and quite possibly a studio piece.
You have a lot of studio glass artists in the states; I'm afraid I'm not familar with many of them.

Thank you for your reply :) I appreciate it - and yes - studio piece is a likely possibility. I'll keep looking!

At least the response wasn't "brand new, made in China, from a discount store."
I do think it is a quality piece.
But you never know who might know something here. I was able to get a wonderful american studio piece identified, because the artist, who is no longer working as a glass artist, but writing books, for which he is now much better known, is a friend of somebody here.
Are you absolutely sure there are no markings on it, whatsoever?

Yes, unfortunately - I've just now gone over the whole thing again and I don't see anything resembling a signature or mark. Many thanks again for taking the time to look - hopefully at some point someone will recognize it - or I'll come upon an ID.

:) We don't give up here. Sometimes an id can be instant, sometimes it can take years.
But we don't give up. ;D
