Title: Amber/Peach pressed bowl—Davidson,Sowerby,Walther, Other ?

Hi,
Any help identifying this one appreciated.

Not sure about its colour- sometimes amber, sometimes peach  - depends very much upon the light.
A few bubbles here and there ; this also applies to some small patches of iridescence ( age related ? )
Quite a bit of wear on its feet (3 )

Diam 24cm
Wt 1100gm

sorry, don't recognize the pattern - but as a first thought this made me think it might appear on Pamela's pressed glass 'museum'  -  had a quick look but wasn't aware of seeing it, either in the attributed or unattributed sections.                Did you look there Scott? and have you tried the Davidson site, and do you have the Thistlewood Sowerby CD rom discs? :)
These pinky/peachy shades - sometimes with a hint of iridescence - are typical of 1930 - 40 period or possibly a tad later.

Many thanks for doing the searching - I’ve also looked at the sites you’ve mentioned but haven’t
been able to find a match.
I’ve noticed however( rather belatedly) striations in the glass and that if I run my finger down the inside of the bowl the surface feels a bit lumpy.
I suppose this is a pressed piece and not a mould blown one ?
It also has a reasonable ringtone - which I should also have mentioned before !

I’ve attached a closeup - hopefully you might be able to see the striations

Sorry forgot to mention that its colour looks a bit like one that was used by Sowerby............

I would have assumed Scott that this was a pressed item:)                   Some pieces can ring/resonate more than others - as Frank said once it's often related to the shape, and not an indication of lead glass.
I agree with you it does look a little Sowerby ish  -  I'm sure they did a surface pattern a little like this one - but if you've been through the CDs and not found it then probably not theirs.

I didn’t really believe it was anything other than pressed glass - said tongue in cheek with a bit
of wishful thinking thrown in - should have used a smiley  :)
