Lots of new info!, haven't had time to explore it all yet but thanks for adding it and making the site even better than it was before.
I was looking for this candlestick. Couldn't find it but have my doubts if it's from a trinket set at all. The base looks as though it might have sat on top of something as a cover or lid. There are a lot of chips to the inside of the base rim but the outside where I've usually found any damage is perfect. Could it have been the top of something bigger?

Walther Munster. That sort of base isn't uncommon, so not not for sitting on top of something http://www.glasstrinketsets.com/cms3/german/walther/muenster

Many thanks.
I must have been half asleep by the time I got to Walther.
First time I've seen a base like that "in the flesh" rather than in photo so didn't know they were quite common.
